Travel Log
For those who have been, or have yet to visit Alaska...it truly is a bargain in these trying times of travel and vacationing.

The photo above is Homer, Alaska (great photo opps as you would imagine) but it's only the tip of the iceberg.

A must see is Denali National Park (home to Mt. McKinley), although you have to get lucky to "see" Denali (the historical name meaning "The Great One"). The shear size and height of the mountain creates its own weather keeping it masked in a layer of freezing fog and clouds most of the time. Our lucky viewing occurred while leaving the park (photo below-over a 100 miles away) and the mountain only revealed itself for a few minutes. Over a three day stay in the park it remained hidden, even though we were within twenty miles on several occassions. Tip: In the Denali wilderness and National Park... fill up the tank at every opportunity.

There are some great stays in Alaska. Email me for a few lodging finds we researched and experienced in Anchorage, Valdez, Homer, Seward, or Denali.

...and if your looking for an ultimate Costa Rica vacation, look no further than Cruise West. Small ships with great service and a new island every day! 100 Person capacity, gourmet food (lots of fresh seafood) with an attentive staff and crew of 25.

Photography Pursuits
Slowly but surely I've been working on a "window series" and found this one in Mendocino, CA. Nice touch with the dry wall overspray inside.

New Work
I've been doing more photo illustration work of late (particularly for the wine industry). The following is a recent unpublished piece for friend and associate, Ross Halleck. Nick's Cove restaurant in Tomales Bay, CA is truly Hog (Island) heaven when paired with Halleck Sauvignon Blanc and a variety of uber-fresh oysters direct from Nicks' backyard.

Tip: Go there soon!
